It’s May friend! Which means I’m almost done with school and my birthday is next week. I should have wrote my thoughts down but they’re for my other account. There’s so many thoughts going through my head. A few of my college friends are graduating soon. I have so many beautiful memories with people and I’ve grown in change. In June, it will be one year of writing this blog, one year of taking this journey called life with me. It’s been an honor to share my story with you.
A lot has been going on my mind the past few weeks. The main thing is church accountability with it comes o racism and abuse. Sometimes it makes me never wanna walk in the church door. Yet I’m called to the church. I’m worn done and tired yet there’s so much I wanna do to be part of the solution. I love preaching, teaching and sharing with people.
I’ve changed. I’m not the same person I was in May 2020. I don’t physically go to church anymore and I’m okay with it. I’ve grown so much. I’ve changed my perspective on God, Christianity and the value of others. About a year ago I was struggling if I was going to leave Christianity or not. People don’t leave churches because of God. People leave churches because of other people. I walked away from things and haven’t looked back. I’m okay. I’m learning and growing. God is making something beautiful out of the dust. He’s making something new out of us.
