“All We Sinners” by Passion, Crowder

Happy #worshipsongsunday! It’s the last Sunday in April! Time really flies and I’m about a month I’ll be done with freshman year of college! I got new glasses with an updated prescription so my eyes are still adjusting. Today’s song is “All We Sinners”. I remember hearing this song for the first time the same summer I got my call to ministry. I think it was shortly before.

I think of that dark day on Calvary but a new day was coming. Our souls deserve hell but there was hope. “And all we sinners sang: Saved, we are saved. The gates of heaven wide open. Saved, we are saved, the keys to the grave have been stolen.”

What could pay the cost of sin? There’s a cross rising in that hill called Calvary. “Could be be that evil lost? All we sinners sang.”

“The crimson River like a flood came

washing over all of us. It swallowed sin and death right up and all we sinners sang: saved we are saved. The gates of heaven wide open. Saved we are saved. The keys to the grave have been stolen.”

Jesus’s blood paid for our sin in full. Death and hell are defeated forever. We are saved. The grave is deep but it is empty. The tomb is empty friends all because of the love of God.

On yonder hill where darkness flew, the morning breaks in light and dew. Day has come a again a new and all we sinners sang.”
