I took a couple more weeks off just to clear my head. It’s kinda been nice ya know, just taking time to rest awhile and I think I’m ready to get back to work. Mainly because tomorrow. Tuesday, June 29,2021 is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of The Tellesti Brand! It also has been six years since I got my call to ministry. I think this past year of writing has been amazing but an new experience. I’ve done some cool things and studied a lot. I’ve been reading books on Black Theology and I’ve got a few on feminist theology as well. I go back to school in like 5 weeks so here we go.

One thing I’ve learned about God is he’s not confined to a space or place or time. If you’re never looked at the new children’s book “What Is God Like?” By Rachel Held Evans and Matthew Paul Turner, it’s an eye opening experience on views of God. I see the world around me as differently. I’ve never felt so free. The gospel is to set people free not put them in bondage. I want to preach and teach this way. My first year of college has been something I celebrate being a part of. I got an award actually “Campus Ministries Most Outstanding Female”. I have no greater calling on my life.

I promised myself I’d work on a book but I haven’t gotten to it yet this summer. Maybe someday. I’ve got this big wild dream. This young black theologian who’s currently deconstructing. And that’s okay and I’m okay too. We’ve built such a beautiful community and I’m glad to be part of it with you.

One more thing I have to say is Happy Pride Month! I haven’t been around much this month so haven’t been around to celebrate with you all. Before you come at me, I’d like to say God does not a will not use shame on us. Jesus took all out shame at the cross and it’s done. They’ll know we are Christians by our love. Love you guys.
