Wonder Wednesday November 25,2020

Guys I almost forgot that I was writing #wonderwedneday after a ton of amazing ladies as guest writers! Love you guys! If you haven’t already please check out the shop! I got distracted and now it’s after midnight and I’m tired. I just haven’t been in the right headspace for streaming and I’m kind of nervous. I may just record it.
So this question I thought of a few weeks ago as a wrote the sermon I didn’t share yet. Jesus prays for three things in the garden, for his disciples, for us and himself. This is part of the prayer he prays for us as believers who have never seen him. There’s been so much division in the world we live in, especially among believers. So I wonder how we’ve strayed so far from what Jesus prayed for you and me?
““I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”
John 17:20-23 ESV
Jesus is praying for us to be one: to have unity among believers! He’s wants us to be one like he and God the father are one. Jesus prays for us to share in his glory as one body of believers. Why does Jesus pray for unity? So future believes can see who he said he was! The son of God who became flesh and lived among us and paid the penalty for sin in full. Being one in Christ is also means we’re taking part in sharing in his love. His love completes us and is for everyone.
Tomorrow is thanksgiving day in America. I can’t believe we’re 30 days from Christmas! Yay! Find something to be grateful for on that day. I know it looks different for most of us this year in 2020, but God’s still got 2020 with the few days left of it. There’s still so much wonder to be found in our world.
