Worship Song Sunday: Resurrection Sunday April 4,2021
It’s Resurrection Sunday! Today I’ll write another post that reflects my joy of this day. But let’s celebrate with a song! “Death Was Arrested” by North Point Worship.
We were dead in our sin and there was nothing else we could do. “Your love made a way to let mercy come in, when death was arrested my life began.” Jesus made beauty out of ashes. He named us a child of God. “My mournlung grew quiet, my feet rose to dance, when death was arrested my life began.”
“Oh your grace so free washes over me. You have made me new now life begins with you. It’s your endless love pouring down on us. You have made us knew , now my life begins with you.”
God declares you’re free from your chains and Jesus have paid your ransom in full. He canceled your debt and calls you his friend.
Oh but listen “Our savior displayed on a criminal’s cross. Darkness rejoiced as though heaven had lost. But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand. That’s when death was arrested and my life began.”
“Oh we’re free, free, forever we’re free, come join the song of all the redeemed. Yes we’re free free, forever we’re free, forever amen, that’s when death was arrested and my life began, that’s end death was arrested and my life began.”
Death is arrested and you are free on this Resurrection Sunday. You can rest in the finality of the cross. Jesus has risen just as he said. He’s gone ahead of you and will see you there.
