“Jubilee” by Maverick City Music
This is my first post as a 19 year old! This week’s song is “Jubilee” by Maverick City Music. I’m celebrating my birthday today with friends so I’m gonna get this done. This song also has the special memory of singing it with my friends on our final Tuesday night worship for the semester.
Like Isaiah 61, the spirit of the Lord is upon you so bring hope to the poor. He proclaims good news for captives. Our God fulfills his promises. We can be whole through Jesus.
Listen for the free man singing, "He’s delivered me"
Look out for the woman shouting, "His garment made me clean"
Listen up, for the season's changing
He’s rebuilding everything
Listen for the people shouting, "This is Jubilee, yeah"
Jesus brings freedom. Like the woman with the issue of blood, Jesus brings healing from a touch. He’s cleaning up and making things new. This is the sound of jubilee. Can you hear it?
There’s so much joy in God’s freedom. Open your heart and receive it. There’s a hope to believe in. This is the sound of jubilee.
He’s speaking, listen listen. This is the sound of jubilee. “I was blind but now I see. Because you delivered me.”
So listen for the free man singing, "He’s delivered me"
Look out for the woman shouting, "His garment made me clean"
Listen up, for the season's changing
He’s rebuilding everything
Listen for the people shouting, "This is Jubilee"
